The medium of instruction in the Nursery Class, Std.I, Std.II and Std.III is Malayalam.  In these classes pupils are encouraged to learn oral English through music and drama. English phonetics, basic writing and reading skills are introduced in Std. IV.  In the Middle and High School, English is the medium of instruction, while always maintaining a high standard of Malayalam.

English is of course the medium of instruction for the ICSE (X) and ISC (XII) classes.  Students are able to cope with English language in University Education in India and abroad with no hiccups whatsoever.  Students from Pallikoodam have gone on to be Rhodes Scholars, Ramanujam Scholars and Commonwealth Scholars.  They have excelled in academics in the best Universities across the globe.
