Extra Curricular Activities During School Hours

Academics is a vital part of school life, but must  never be allowed to dominate. Children are also encouraged to choose from a wide range of extra-curricular activities in which they receive serious training.
This includes:
Swimming
Physical Education
Drama
Yoga
Cooking
Embroidery & Garment Making
Drawing
Painting & Sculpture

Major presentations during the course of the year in any one of these disciplines are eagerly looked forward to by parents and children.

Extra Curricular Activities After School Hours

Karate
Dance
Organ
Guitar
Carnatic Music
Kathakali
Bharatanatyam

There is a well equipped Resource Room for Art and Craft facilities. These include Sculpture, Pottery, Drawing, Painting and Tailoring.  Serious artists may offer Fine Arts as a subject for the  ICSE / ISC examinations. We have a qualified Art Master to train them.

Both Western and Indian Music and Dance are popular. The children form their own bands and choirs.  Occasionally formal presentations in classical dances like Bharathanatyam and Kathakali involve the whole school.

Regular workshops are held to enable the students to get familiar with other art forms. These include Modern American Dance workshops conducted by Jaan Freeman of New York , Dance Workshops by Zuleikha of U.S.A. (an international performer and story teller) Shijith Nambiar and Geeta Hariharan of Kalakshetra, Chennai.
