The Council offers CHALLENGED CHILDREN the following concessions :

Candidates may be exempted from study of the Second and Third Languages.

They may drop dreaded Math and Science and opt for other subjects.

An allowance of additional time of 15 minutes for every hour of the examination paper

The use of a Scientific Calculator for Mathematical calculations

We need to educate ourselves and others to accept children who are differently abled as individuals with strengths and talents. A professionally trained Special Needs Teacher is in charge of this aspect in Pallikoodam. From our experience, we have learnt that learning difficulties can be overcome. There is a sense of wonder and joy when we look back on students who may have been unable to cope with normal life, to find that they are performing very well, often better than normal children.
